Morning Movement: Forest Bathing Ayurveda is all about aligning to the rhythms of nature. There is no better way to do this than to enjoy a forest walk. Forest bathing, known as shinrin yoku, is a wonderful meditative walking practice from Japan that is perfect for our Pacific Northwest forests. Enjoy the beauty of the season on this guided two mile walk.
Summer Ayurveda Lifestyle and Kitchen Workshop A fundamental principle of Ayurveda is that our habits, routines, and dietary choices should align with the seasons. As we move into summer, we move into what Ayurveda calls the pitta season, the time of the year characterized by long sunny, warm days. In this workshop, you'll learn about the foods that are best enjoyed and best avoided during the hot, pitta summer season to stay cool and avoid burn-out. In particular, we will focus on yard to table wild edibles, plants that are in your own backyard that are perfect for cooling off in the summer and providing supreme nutrition. You'll get some great recipes in this hands on workshop!
Seasonal Lunch Potluck Bring your favorite summer dish to share with your peeps! These community potlucks are a highlight of our Vibrant Living Retreats. We'll swap food ideas and recipes and you'll leave this day retreat with some great new food ideas for the summer season.
Women's Ayurvedic Wellness Workshop: Moon Cycles In this workshop, you will learn about habits and practices for women to discover and explore their inner rhythms and how to nourish and ourselves by connecting to the moon cycle. These are practices are for menstruating women and non-menstruating women alike. If you are still menstruating, these practices will help you move more smoothly through the month. If you are no longer menstruating, you still have a monthly rhythm and your biorhythm is connected to the moon. The more you attune your body to the natural rhythms around you, the more you will thrive.
Guided New Moon Meditation Practice This retreat falls just before the new moon. The new moon is a powerful time of deep insight. In this workshop, you'll be guided to go inward and in a practice designed to help you access your inner wisdom.
Moon Journaling for Creativity and Sacred Self Care Moon journaling is an easy and effective way to deepen your self-care and connect to your creativity. Just like the moon, you go through phases. Learn how you can use your journal to align to the moon's energy and deepen your awareness of your own cycles.
