Ayurveda Essentials Course
Ayurveda means the “wisdom of life.”
Ayurveda is the body wisdom tradition that c0-arose with yoga. Ayurveda focuses on optimizing physical health and promoting healing via aligning with the rhythms of nature. Ayurveda promotes a holistic lifestyle approach and daily routine designed to assist one in aligning with nature’s rhythms. When you live in conflict with nature’s rhythms, you experience, stress and dis-ease. When you align your body’s rhythms to nature’s clock, your physiology becomes balanced, and you experience balance and ease. Ayurvedic wisdom is simple and effective at helping individuals take charge of their own well-being and experience a greater sense of groundedness, vitality and peace in their lives. Ayurvedic practices can include: lifestyle habits and guidelines, specific body purification practices, individual diet recommendations and herbal remedies.
This four week course teaches the essential principles of Ayurveda and is designed to help individuals step into a higher path of health and well-being.

The rich history of Ayurveda medicine begs investigation. I could take years and years of training in this subject, its so interesting and uncannily obvious in improving our quality of life and improving our health.

I'm always striving for personal improvement, and this course allowed me to learn and also have accountability through the group environment. Between having a full time job, being a wife, mother, daughter, friend... I have struggled with taking time to care for myself. I learned from this course how very important it is to take time for yourself and learn skills to cope with the demands of this busy world. I really appreciated hearing about the different types of Body Wisdom and the types of food that are better for some over others. It makes a great deal of sense, but was still new to me. I also liked talking about the detox and starting off the seasons doing one. The ideas about the holidays were also very timely and helpful. As a result of Annie’s guidance and knowledge, I have been able to take some small but effective steps to improve my physical and mental health.
