Private yoga sessions are designed to promote mind-body wellness and to empower individuals to care for themselves using yogic mind-body and self-care practices for the restoration of balance and harmony.

A private yoga session is an opportunity to holistically address your unique physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs with the "tool box" of yoga postures, breathing practices, meditation, relaxation techniques, self-care principles, and lifestyle habits. Part consultation, part education, and part guided practice, a private yoga session is an opportunity to receive custom practices for your mind-body health and wellbeing. 

A private yoga session can assist you in:

  • Increasing mobility and flexibility in the body
  • Improving bio-mechanical alignment and posture
  • Healing from injury or chronic strain
  • Preventing injury
  • Sleeping better

  • Beginning or deepening a meditation practice​

  • Getting to know yourself more deeply on a spiritual level

What's involved in a private yoga session?
The first step in a private yoga session involves a health intake form that you submit prior to your first session. This form is designed to help me get a full picture of your mental, physical and emotional health, your lifestyle habits, and your key goals for your private yoga session. When we meet for our first session, we will talk about these goals together. I will then assess your physical and mind-body health as well as your postural tendencies, overall strength, mobility and alignment. Based upon this assessment, I will formulate and guide you through a personalized yoga wellness practice including postural exercises, breathing practices and relaxation techniques. You will then receive a yoga wellness plan to begin to use at home.

At each follow up session, we will check in to see how you are feeling, what has changed since the last session, what progress has been made, and what questions you may have. I will then make adjustments to your yoga wellness plan, and guide you through yoga wellness practice and give you guidance for practicing at home.
